With all the Covid guidelines being observed, it was great to have two public bookings recently.
Last Wednesday the Jonny Hepbir Swing Guitar Duo had the pleasure of performing at Epsom Marketplace in Surrey. This was one of a series of performances by an eclectic range of artists of all different styles.
Production company MGSO4 (they cleverly came up with the name from the chemical compound for Epsom Salts!) teamed up town promotion team GO EPSOM to get quality live music back into the town.
We had a great time playing for people in the afternoon and it was rewarding to get some cool feedback about our Django-inspired, swing guitar stylings. We even did an interview for the local paper who came to check us out.

A few days before, I had a nice Solo gig at The Magnet Micropub in Broadstairs, Kent. It's been tough for the venues and musicians alike this year. Owners, Nikki and Will, are huge supporters of live music so they've been putting on some of their favourite artists outside the Magnet while the weather's still good. Having not played here since March it was fab to be swinging in Broadstairs again!
It's a bit worrying as we head towards Winter as the weather is very changeable in these uncertain times, so it's heartwarming to see that people are supportive of the musicians and venues.
