Around four years ago early one morning, I looked at my Facebook app and discovered I'd been hacked. Getting my personal profile back was relatively easy but not my music/band pages.
To cut a long story short, it was a bit of a nightmare. Ten years worth of posts, over 2K followers, contacts etc gone. Luckily it was only a bot trawling for bank details and not a malicious hacker but I didn't do FB advertising so it got nowhere. Unfortunately I couldn't access my page even though it was still visible.
Dealing with Facebook support was quite hideous and frustrating. They are totally useless and eventually ignored me completely after about six months. I know quite a few people this has happened to and had similar experiences with the so-called support.
I really despise the platform but in the modern age of social media it's a necessary evil. About a week ago I noticed the page had been deleted and all bots gone, they had obviously had a clear out.
I was able to set up a new Jonny Hepbir Trio page which is now active. It's from scratch but at least it's live. I've posted all the band videos and a fair few photos too. I also now know how to avoid being hacked in the future.

Wednesday 18th June - Metro Vipers at Godinton House & Gardens 'Jazz In The Gardens'.
'Returning favourites, Metro Vipers, are the trio that packs a punch, playing a mix of gypsy jazz, swing and latin, with some rock 'n roll thrown in for good measure!
Bring along picnics from 6pm, ready for a 7pm performance.
Proceeds raised from this music evening will be donated to the local branch of the Samaritans.'

Sunday 22nd June 3pm - Loulou Swing at The Magnet in Broadstairs, Kent.
Always a pleasure to play at The Magnet and I'll be with Loulou Swing playing classic jazz songs for everyone's entertainment.
The fun starts at 3pm and it's free entry. I'll be in Broadstairs a few times this year including about four different (band) performances for the Broadstairs Jazz Festival.
