I had an amazing time playing last week with the Trio and Quartet in and around Sussex. All of our public performances were really well attended and it was great to see a general confidence with audiences regarding coming to hear live music once more!
First up was a Trio gig at The Thomas Kemp in Brighton, here we are in action on that first night last Thursday.
The next day we played a couple of sets late afternoon at The Better Half in Hove. Here we are mid-set. Jason played with one shoe as the the other was outside after he trod in something..evil.
Later on in the evening, it was time to get people on the floor with the Quartet at The Bootlegger bar in the centre of town. This is a very popular session with all the Brighton swing dancers and we did our best to tire them out.
On Saturday we headed on over to our friends Jennifer and Clark's new venture The Toad In The Hole in Worthing. Jen also owns the excellent The Hand In Hand in Kemptown, Brighton. Another fab gig and great to see everyone again.
The last one for the weekend, an hour after the last gig, was up near Hurstpierpoint, The Sportsman in Goddard's Green. We were joined by our dear friend Matt on guitar for this final romp through Gypsy Jazz classics. A great finale to an awesome weekend of music!
