Upcoming Gypsy jazz guitar duo concert in Kent
This coming Sunday, I will be playing a special concert with Jason Henson for the good people of Revelation, Ashford’s music and arts venue in #Kent.
Very happy to be part of their ‘Fireside Sparks’ concert series at the nice looking St Mary’s Church in the heart of Ashford.
If you like hearing and watching hot, swing guitar played in a #GypsyJazz way, doors are at 2.45pm and we start at 3.30pm!

In the UK, Jonny is regarded as one of the few authentic players on the British Gypsy Jazz scene.
His background has seen years of experience playing amongst some of the top Gypsy guitarists in the world including Bireli Lagrene, Lulu Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg, Paulus Schafer, Feigeli Prisor and jazz guitarists Mundel Lowe, Martin Taylor and John Etheridge amongst others.
In 2002, Jonny signed a record deal with USA label ‘Refined Records‘ and released an album of originals called ‘Turkish Blend‘ featuring renowned guitarist Robin Nolan and in 2004, #GUITAR magazine referred to Jonny as ‘the English virtuoso’.
Over the last 25 years Jonny has played throughout the UK and abroad, including private performances for Sir Paul McCartney, Roman Abramovich, Sir Terence Conran, Paul Merton and Kool & The Gang.
Other recent hi-profile appearances include the Django Reinhardt Festival Samois Sur Seine in France 2013, Birmingham International Jazz, Blues Festival 2013 and The Love Supreme Jazz Festival in #Sussex 2015.
Audiences can expect to hear a vibrant mix of Gypsy swing, cool jazz and funky Latin.
Jonny will be joined by fellow band member for over 10 years, the Brighton-based jazz guitarist Jason Henson.
Jason is regarded as one of the best mainstream jazz players along the South Coast and has played alongside jazz notables Alan Barnes and Louis Stewart among others.
