A very Happy New Year to everyone!
This New Year's Eve I had the pleasure of playing as part of a swinging 1920's style Jazz Quartet at The Botanist in Sloane Square, London.
The band consisted of Big Band/Pocket Basie maestro Peter Long on burning clarinet and flugelhorn, the fabulous Louise Cookman on vocals (whom I perform with in a duo), the renowned Glenn Miller Orchestra's Paul Scott on double bass and yours truly on guitar.
We played to a packed house and got them all dancing with the repertoire consisting of songs purely from the roaring 20's.
A great way to ring in the New year!
I'll be kicking off this year's bookings with a public Solo Gypsy Jazz session at one of my regular spots in Kent, The Magnet in picturesque Broadstairs.
This popular, award-winning venue has a great atmosphere to quaff nice beverages in and listen to some live music.
I'll be kicking off proceedings at 3pm so come on down for a swinging, chilled afternoon.

Top quality acoustic swing jazz from the 30's, 40's and 50's, ideal for Private Parties, Birthday Celebrations, Weddings, Corporate Functions and Public Events.
The Band is also available with Female Vocals, Violin, Clarinet/Sax and Accordion for those gatherings where hot, swinging jazz is required.
