The JONNY HEPBIR TRIO had the pleasure of performing at an intimate Wedding reception at The Mermaid Inn located in Rye, East Sussex last week.
We played a short set for guests at Rye Town Hall before our bride Valeria came down the aisle to meet with husband to be Greg. While they did the deed we made our way over to the Mermaid Inn two minutes away to get ready for our reception sets.
The Town Crier led the way for all the Wedding party bellowing "VALERIA AND GREG HAVE JUST GOT MARRIED!"and clanging his bell, which pretty much got the attention of the whole town.
We pumped out our winning combination of retro Jazz, Gypsy Jazz and Latin classics before being invited to enjoy a High Tea with the happy couple. We even had our own place setting.
"Jonny, a big thank you to you and the guys for joining us and being part of our day, I knew it would be absolutely perfect and we're glad you had a good time too!"

This coming week on Sunday 30th October from 3.30pm, I shall be back at legendary Margate bar, Fez, in Kent.
Everybody loves stuff by dead people, so I'm going to be opening a musical portal to the dark side when I foolishly ignore the warnings and reanimate ancient melodies in the style of a long gone master!
