I had a fantastic time playing a nice clutch of gigs in Brighton and Hove last week with the JONNY HEPBIR TRIO and JONNY HEPBIR QUINTET.
We had great audiences who really enjoyed our Swing Jazz and Gypsy Jazz stylings and it was a pleasure to play for everyone who came to see us.
The picture above is from our Trio gig at The Better Half in Hove. This is a great mid-afternoon swing session that's been popular for a few years now.
This was a fine opportunity to run through our song arrangements and get them super-slick in anticipation for our early evening Quintet concert.
St.Andrew's Church is the home of the 'Jazz at The Church' concert series on Friday nights, the venue was also in Hove.
The events are run by trumpet player and band leader Chris Coull. Chris joined our Quartet with Sara on vocals to complete the Quintet line-up.
We picked a varied set encompassing many of the arrangements from our YouTube videos.
There were over a hundred people in attendance and we kept the music HOT!

The day after, I had a SOLO GYPSY JAZZ performance at Standard Quay in Faversham, Kent.
This was a really chilled afternoon session in contrast to the full-on previous couple of days. Always an appreciative crowd in Faversham. Here's a shot from that session.
