This Sunday 22nd October 7pm JONNY HEPBIR GYPSY JAZZ GUITARIST will be performing at Albion House in Ramsgate, Kent.
I'm looking forward to playing a couple of dates over the next few weeks at the fabulous Albion House. This is part of their Sublime Sundays Jazz Night season of events.
Looking out over Albion Gardens and out to sea there are stunning views of the Royal Harbour – the only one in the country. The harbour was given its status of ‘Royal Harbour’ by King George IV as a gift for the hospitality he received when visiting Ramsgate in 1820.
Their food and drink menu is super-mouth watering, so why not come on down and sample some of the good stuff while I get the atmosphere going with cool Django Reinhardt flavoured tunes?

October's been busy with gigs and also with teaching/coaching Gypsy Jazz guitar students.
I've had a few return visitors who have come for my popular whole day sessions and some new people too.
Jeff Young came to me a few years back and soon after, he moved to Australia where he's been getting involved with the Oz Manouche scene over there.
Jeff got in touch, said he was in the U.K. and wanted to do another session with me. It was a great day, I couldn't believe how much progress he'd made, he's really put the work in.
We worked on advanced rhythm concepts and different approaches to improvisation utilising simple motifs and building them up to more complexed ideas. Lots of pick technique work too.
The next day I was playing at The Magnet in Broadstairs and Jeff popped down to the gig with his morning purchase, a brand new Killy Nonis Selmer style guitar!
Killy's an old and dear friend so it was great to hear and play his new build. It's gone to a good home too, Jeff was over the moon with it.
After my sets, I invited Jeff to play a few tunes with me and we had a great time, here's a pic of us playing.
