Ooh la la! A wicked Guitar and Accordion Duo booking recently for a French-themed Birthday Party at Manor Farm near Ashford in Kent.
We were nestled on a Persian rug under an Indian silk gazebo pumping out Gypsy Jazz and French waltzes.
Close family and friends enjoyed a great afternoon of food, drink and music for this joint Birthday celebration.
French Bal-musette was originally performed in the late 1800's on Bagpipes! This was a good few years before the accordion took over as the preferred lead instrument.
In hindsight, maybe the pipes would have been better to ward off the trillions of teeny tiny black flies that chose us for their lunch!
We had a really enjoyable time playing for everyone and the fly situation was really funny.
