I had a great time last week playing Gypsy Jazz and Django Reinhardt style guitar music to a packed house at Revelation Ashford for their 'An Evening With Wine Garden of England & Boys Hall' Event, the first one of its kind for Ashford Food & Drink Festival 2023 in Kent.
The audience were treated to some great wines with an in-depth talk on each one by the Wine Garden Of England's representative and chief expert, Jo Smith.
They're a conglomerate of eight of England's top wine producers and Jo had bought along sixty bottles of different styles of wine for guests to savour.

It wasn't all about the wine, as the astoundingly good small plates of food that accompanied each wine were curated and prepared by the team from the amazing Boys Hall.
One of the perks of performing at great events like this is that I often get to sample what the audience had. 'Sample' isn't the word, more like nose-dived! The food was awesome, I'm sure I ate my own body weight in sushi, pork, lamb and tartlets.
The whole night was a resounding success and my second set was treated like a concert. It was a real pleasure to be invited to be part of the evening.
